I agree 110% with Howard.

Never expected Eller to be that good.

you'd probably call it an ugly win for the Canadiens, and an even uglier loss for the Flyers.

ugly game all in all. almost boring. 2 teams with not a whole hell of alot.

lava is no innocent here, eric. love the guy but he has proven totally unable to make in-game or even in-season adjustments.

His line sure picked up right where they left off last season.

But, yeah... 3 games.

Hopefully they keep this up.

he's a great coach. everyone knows it. he's not perfect. none of them are. he's paying the price for the two guys above him. plain and simple.

next week might not be pretty. this is typically a tough trip for them that usually involves getting taken to the woodshed in Vancouver. but it is the first trip for this incarnation of the team so it's a nice early litmus test to see where they are, particularly where it concerns Price.

as for Laviolette, i think he'd be a great fit for the Wild. i think Yeo's leash there just got a bit tighter. failing that i could see him go back to LI if they Isles get off to a slow start.

In the event that they keep sucking and miss the playoffs... will it be because of the players or because of Berube?

Looks to me like they're a lot better than they were at their best last season. Helps tons that their good play is leading to points. Even if they weren't scoring, you can see all the good signs that make them a dangerous line.

This is a great thing for the team. It's going to bring out something better in the other two lines.

I thought Plekanec Bourque and Gionta had a pretty solid game the other night.

Especially Bourque.

Exactly. 3 games.

Still nice to see. The whole line is clicking and to be honest, I can't remember the last time 3 kids "dominated" like they do on the ice.

same team except for losing the space cadet and adding lecavalier and streit, no reason for them to be worse than ever before. over-aggressive forecheck leaving the defenseman out to dry constantly wasn't working for this lineup. as much as i liked lava i'm looking forward to the change.
